Many may be surprised to learn that Minnesota is home to over over 600 vineyards and more than 30 wineries. The vast majority of these were started in the last five years - tremendous growth for any industry. In addition to this astounding growth, the Minnesota grape and wine industry also provides significant economic impact. Including grape growing, winery operations and winery-related tourism, the combined impact of the Minnesota grape and wine industry contributes over 40 million dollars annually to the Minnesota economy.

And with good reason. Each year, dozens of Minnesota wineries enter a variety of International Wine Competitions and each year, Minnesota wines earn gold medals at these prestigious competitions. We'll announce all the Minnesota Gold winners here - so check back often.
