There are more than 632 grape growers in Minnesota. The Minnesota Grape Growers Association has noticed an increase in individuals expressing an interest in growing grapes. Wineries are being approached by more growers interested in selling their grapes. New varieties of cold-hardy grapes being developed by the University of Minnesota appear to be changing the mix of grapes being grown.
